Frequently Asked Questions
Is your beef USDA-inspected?
Yes. Our beef is processed at Weaver Meats in Afton, Iowa, a USDA-inspected facility.
How is the beef packaged?
All beef is vacuum-sealed, freezer-wrapped, labeled, and frozen.
Why do bundle weights vary?
Every animal is different. Since beef is sold by the pound, final bundle weights vary slightly based on actual finished weight.
Do you offer shipping?
At this time, beef bundles are available for local pickup only.
What should I bring to pickup?
Please bring a cooler or insulated container for transporting frozen beef.
Where do I pick up my beef?
All beef is picked up directly from Weaver Meats once processing is complete.
The locker will call you when your order is ready for pickup.
When will I know the final cost?
You will be notified of the hanging weight shortly after drop-off.
Your remaining balance with Conner Family Farms is based on this hanging weight.
The locker will then contact you with your final processing total, which you pay to them at pickup.
Who do I pay and when?
Deposit: Paid online to Conner Family Farms when you reserve your share.
Remaining Beef Balance: Paid to Conner Family Farms after hanging weight is known.
Processing Fees: Paid directly to Weaver Meats at pickup.
Can I choose my cuts?
Yes. Weaver Meats will contact you before processing so you can select steaks, roasts, ground beef ratios, and specialty items.
Are weights exact?
No. All weights are approximate and may vary slightly depending on the animal and cutting preferences.
What happens if I don’t pay my remaining balance?
Failure to pay the remaining farm balance will result in forfeiture of your deposit and the beef may be resold.
